Our theme being the Scottish highlanders, the Highlander Marching Band is famous for its use of bagpipes in its performances. We proudly take the field to the triumphant sound of traditional Scottish themes, followed by a selection of music performed by our extensive woodwind, brass, and percussion sections.
For the 2011 season, our performance is titled Scheherazade based on the music by Rimskij-Korsakov from the symphonic suite with the same name. The music is arranged by Key Poulan (samples of Key Poulan's Sheherazade for marching bands).
